If you don’t want to eat your veggies, perhaps you will want to decorate with them!? Yes, it’s true. Vegetables and herbs make stunning event decor, and the ladies from Petal’s Edge prove it! Yes, I know we have been talking a lot of food as decor (See: citrus wedding ideas, cotton candy weddings, and berry wedding inspiration). For a recent event at The Terrace at 101 Constitution, Gerry and Rebecca hit the produce aisle for some seriously healthy inspiration.
The centerpieces overflowed with veggies like kale, apples, eggplant, plums, beets and more! They even filled a vase on the buffet entirely with brussel sprouts. Now, that’s a use for those that I could get behind! They accented these edible arrangements with potted herbs (which work fabulously as wedding favors too)! Not wanting to forget the flowers their hearts are devoted too, they even placed blooms in tomato cans. If you’re looking for a non-traditional way to give your wedding a fresh and modern, yet organic and rustic feel, this may just be it!
Thanks so much to Petal’s Edge for opening our eyes to a whole new use for this food group! Will you use fruits and veggies in your wedding decor!?
