Any engaged news junkies out there? Call off the venue search, we’ve found it for you! Today’s Washington, DC wedding venue tour is the Newseum, a modern, media-centric museum in the heart of the city with an event space and rooftop to boot. The museum’s Knight Conference Center offers a variety of spaces, accommodating intimate parties of 30 to grand receptions of 450. No matter how large your guest list is, you’ll know they’ll be eating well since Wolfgang Puck is the venue’s exclusive caterer.
The Newseum’s panoramic view of the U.S. Capitol and the National Mall had Jeffrey and Jessica as they said “I do” outdoors atop the museum. They took advantage of the museum’s vast interior for news-worthy photos with Jennifer of Love Life Images before returning to the penthouse reception space to celebrate. Their chosen palette of black and white and red (all over!) perfectly complimented the Newseum’s contemporary, and dramatic, feel.

Claire and Jason’s Newseum reception, captured by Amy Raab Photography, was every bit as vibrant as the city scenery around them. Guests were greeted with a cocktail hour on the rooftop deck where they could mingle and enjoy that picturesque sunset. They then headed indoors to dance and dine with those idyllic floor to ceiling windows surrounding them. I don’t know what’s more delectable, the food or that nighttime Captiol view?
